The ingredients in Maxi-Hair only address vitamin and mineral deficiency. It is high in sulfur containing molecules which is
important for the formation of disulfide bridges in hair. The only way it stops hair loss or thinning hair is by providing the nutrients necessary for the synthesis of keratin, the protein substituent of hair. However, those nutrients won't be used if there is DHT present. Without saw palmetto and beta-sitosterol from blocking the formation of DHT, those nutrients are useless.

The formula is insubstantial. It does not have the ingredients needed to inhibit the production of DHT. However, it does have a lot of nutrients for hair loss caused by malnutrition.
