Nothing Special About This Copycat Formula

What is Provillus?

Provillus consists of a daily supplement and a topical solution of 5% minoxidil.

Provillus has two formulations for men and women.

Provillus for Men Ingredients

Interestingly, these are the exact same ingredients as Procerin, just 2/3 the dosage. Typically, saw palmetto and beta-sitosterol are used together to inhibit the production of DHT and like Procerin, this formula only has saw palmetto.

Even then, the saw palmetto used is just the dry, ground up powder with no standardization of the active ingredients. You won't know how much DHT-inhibitting sterols and free fatty acids you are getting.

As for the "proprietary blend," there is only 30mg of it.

For the women's formulation, it is nothing impressive. Silica is just one of many nutrients hair follicles need.

Marginally, since there is no beta-sitosterol in the formulation and the dosages of everything else is low.

The formula is mediocre. It does not even have all the ingredients needed to inhibit the production of DHT. We recommend a more comprehensive supplement like Hairomega or Nioxin.
